The design of this stick Windsor chair was inspired by numerous Welsh and American-Welsh vernacular stick Windsor chairs. Specifically, stick Windsor chairs made by four well known past and present-day chairmakers – John Brown, Drew Langsner, Don Weber (double “U”), and Christopher Schwarz. This stick Windsor chair sits extremely comfortably, in part, due to it’s soft, white pine seat, which is saddled only slightly to allow the sitter comfort in multiple positions. The sticks in the back of the chair are upright enough for comfortable dining or working at a desk, but not so upright that sitting in the chair feels stiff. This stick Windsor chair is made from a combination of white pine, red oak, and white oak, and finished with black paint, oil varnish, and polished with wax.
